User Research
Qualitative research
Its also known as a Direct research method. I gathered data on users attitudes and behaviors by observing them directly. The data is collected through questions and user interviews. It provides context and explanations.
Questions for user interview
-
Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
-
What kind of work do you do?
-
what do you do in your spare time?
-
Approximately how much money do you spend per week on all of your expenses?
-
How often do you order food online or list restaurants?
-
Which payment method do you prefer(Google Pay or phone pay)? are not good at it?
-
Do you find it difficult to manage your expenses? would you be willing to ask for help with budgeting if you find out you?

Quantitative research
It's known as an Indirect Research Method. Here data is gathered indirectly about users attitudes and behaviors. The data is collected by survey or analysis tools. It provides evidence and predictions.
I decided to take a survey of millennials. So my target audience age group is between 24-39 years.
The survey helped me to get an insight into their expense tracking habits. Also their behavior for expenditure and savings.

Competitor Analysis
While keeping the above statistic in mind, I compare 3 apps to get an overall knowledge about the working and user interface. It was noticed that the apps which track the expenditure did not manage any budget.

CONCULSION + LESSON LEARNED
Challenges
This was my second project as UX/UI Designer. handling such a detailed project was a challenge in itself, a challenge I believe I handled well, and I aim to do even better in my next project. There were times when I lost my motivation and I felt like I had taken up a challenge I could not handle, but taking breaks to breathe and recollect my thoughts always helped me.
Learning
-
Iterate as much as you can
-
To give your best, it’s essential to thoroughly understand the idea that you’re working on.
-
When research is done well, you generate valid ideas better and faster.
-
Feedback is important, also believe in your ideas.
-
Trying to accomplish too much creates chaos; constraints are important.
-
Wearing yourself out is not a good idea, you might end up making bad choices, taking a break and starting again with a fresh mind are always the better things to do.
-
From noticing mistakes in my UI to uncovering more foundational UX problems in my app,
THANKS FOR SCROLLING!!!
